Combustion measurement
ECT measurements and imaging recorded during hybrid-rocket research by members of the founding team at Kingston University London.
Evandor is building a sensor-and-software platform for an overlooked problem in rocket propulsion: understanding the condition of an individual motor without making each inspection a separate event.
01Thesis
Propulsion hardware is valuable, difficult to inspect and expected to perform after years of storage.
Evandor combines a thin sensing layer with proprietary measurement and reconstruction software. The intended result is a growing evidence record of each motor, from manufacture and acceptance through service-life surveillance and test.
Early research has demonstrated combustion imaging during hybrid-rocket firing and known-feature detection in controlled hardware. Solid-motor integration, detection thresholds and operational qualification remain active engineering work.
02Evidence and progression
ECT measurements and imaging recorded during hybrid-rocket research by members of the founding team at Kingston University London.
Controlled measurements on an assembled igniter returned a reconstruction consistent with the expected internal gap geometry.
Further work centres on printable sensing arrays, robust electronics, customer geometry calibration, environmental testing and formal safety assessment.
